Hundreds of smoke detectors were distributed when Cicero President Larry Dominick and State Senator Martin Sandoval (D-12) (pictured right) joined Cicero Fire fighters in a new effort to educate every resident on the dangers and serious risk to life in the absence of such alarms in every home. "Along with President (Larry) Dominick and all the members of the Cicero Fire Department I am ready to continue working to avoid a similar tragedy in our community. And please check periodically the batteries in your smoke detectors," said Senator Sandoval.
