| Town of Cicero Delcares June 30th as Telemundo Chicago Day in Cicero |
At their regular board meeting on June 22nd, Cicero Town President Larry Dominick and the members of the Town Board declared that June 30th would be "Telemundo Chicago Day in Cicero", recognizing the Spanish-language television networking as they planned a special broadcast of their program "Abriendo Puertas", highlighting hte Town of Cicero.
Telemundo Chicago as regularly featured the Town of Cicero and the Town's many programs for it's residents on it's programming, broadcasting a special edition of their news program "El Contexto" from Cicero Town Hall shortly after its grand opening.
TOWN OF CICERO RESOLUTION ON TELEMUNDO TV
WHEREAS, Telemundo Chicago (WSNS-TV) is recognized for its outstanding commitment to providing news and community support that is relevant, impactful and important to the Town of Cicero and all of its residents and businesses
WHEREAS, the Town of Cicero is proud of its business and residential Hispanic population and their influence on our culture, economy and civic life
WHEREAS, on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, Telemundo Chicago will dedicate its energy and efforts on spotlighting the Town of Cicero through its monthly community campaign, "Abriendo Puertas."
AND WHEREAS, "Abriendo Puertas en Cicero" will include business empowerment presentations to Cicero businesses along with an on-air profile of the community in its 5PM Newscast. It is fitting that on this occasion we recognize the economic and cultural contributions the Hispanic community makes to our city:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town President Larry Dominick and the Board of the Town of Cicero do hereby proclaim June 30, 2010, as TELEMUNDO CHICAGO DAY IN CICERO.
