Cicero celebrates annual Father-Daughter Valentine’s Dance
Just a few days before Valentine’s Day hundreds of Cicero Fathers brought their princesses to the 16th Annual Father Daughter Dance.
The first Cicero father and Daughter Dance took place in 2008 and has since become a Cicero tradition. Every year fathers are able to spend a magical evening with their princess or princesses thanks to President Larry Dominick and the Cicero Youth Commission who prioritize this yearly event for dads to make lasting memories with their daughters. It really is a unique occasion.
Every year, tickets sell out and this year it was no different. Tickets went on sale January 8th and just two weeks later were sold out.
On Friday, February 9th, 2024 around 500 Fathers and daughters came together at the Cicero Community Center joining each other to celebrate an evening full of music, dancing, dinner and of course a lot of fun!
The Valentines Father/Daughter Dance is a unique opportunity to strengthen the relationship between fathers and daughters. It is the one night girls are able to transform themselves into princesses and spend a one of a kind evening with their dads.
The Cicero Community Center transformed into a magical center full of dad’s dressed in their best and daughters in their beautiful dresses.
Director of Special Events, Patricia Salerno, explained the only way to get tickets is through the Cicero Community Center and to be aware of scammers. In addition, maybe next year the dance will be at a bigger venue due to the extreme amount of families who wanted to come but couldn’t.
Fathers and daughters were able to check in with ease, pick a corsage of their choice, take great pictures one of which was framed and the other picture was available with silly props. The pictures were printed instantly for families to take home. In addition, dinner and dessert was included.
The gym was decorated full of hearts and the dance floor was taken over by dancing enthusiasts all evening long.
Families were able to enjoy an evening like no other.

Justo unos días antes del Día de San Valentín, cientos de Padres de Cicero llevaron a sus princesas al 16º Baile Anual de Padre e Hija. El primer Baile de Padre e Hija de Cicero tuvo lugar en 2008 y desde entonces se ha convertido en una tradición de Cicero. Cada año, los padres tienen la oportunidad de pasar una noche mágica con sus princesas gracias al Presidente Larry Dominick y a la Comisión de la Juventud de Cicero, quienes dan prioridad a este evento anual para que los papás creen recuerdos duraderos con sus hijas. Realmente es una ocasión única.
Cada año, los boletos se agotan y este año no fue la excepción. Los boletos salieron a la venta el 8 de enero y apenas dos semanas después se agotaron.
El viernes 9 de febrero de 2024, alrededor de 500 padres e hijas se reunieron en el Centro Comunitario de Cicero para celebrar una noche llena de música, baile, cena y, por supuesto, ¡mucha diversión!
El Baile de San Valentín Padre/Hija es una oportunidad única para fortalecer la relación entre padres e hijas. Es la única noche en que las niñas pueden transformarse en princesas y pasar una noche única con sus papás.
El Centro Comunitario de Cicero se transformó en un lugar mágico lleno de papás vestidos con su mejor ropa y hijas con sus hermosos vestidos.
La Directora de Eventos Especiales, Patricia Salerno, explicó que la única forma de obtener boletos es a través del Centro Comunitario de Cicero y estar atentos a los estafadores. Además, quizás el próximo año el baile se realice en un lugar más grande debido a la gran cantidad de familias que querían venir pero no pudieron.
Los padres e hijas pudieron registrarse fácilmente, elegir un ramillete de su elección, tomar excelentes fotos, una de las cuales fue enmarcada y la otra foto estuvo disponible con accesorios divertidos. Las fotos se imprimieron al instante para que las familias las llevaran a casa. Además, se incluyó cena y postre.
El gimnasio estaba decorado con corazones y la pista de baile fue tomada por entusiastas del baile durante toda la noche.
Las familias pudieron disfrutar de una noche como ninguna otra.
Gracias a todas las familias que se unieron y esperamos que creen más recuerdos el próximo año.
